Shabana FC has issued a stern warning to its supporters, declaring that fans wearing counterfeit jerseys will be denied entry to the highly anticipated Shabana Day celebrations and all future home matches.
The Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL) outfit raised concerns last week about the alarming rise in counterfeit fan merchandise circulating in the market.
In a joint statement released on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, the club and its official kit partner, MAFRO Sports, condemned the production and sale of fake jerseys, noting that the practice not only deceives genuine fans but also undermines the financial stability of the team.
โWe urge our supporters to purchase only authentic merchandise from official outlets. Counterfeit kits compromise the integrity of our brand and rob the club of vital revenue needed to grow,โ the statement read in part.
The club emphasized that revenue from authentic jersey sales plays a critical role in funding team operations and ensuring long-term sustainability. Fans are therefore encouraged to support the club by wearing original kits, especially during Shabana Day, which is one of the most important events on the teamโs calendar.
