Kenyan comedian turned philanthropist Eric Omondi has pleaded with the woman who abandoned her child to contact him.

In a social media post on Saturday, 6th September, Eric shared a photo of the child, who appeared to be a few months old, abandoned outside a black gate.
The baby was placed inside a grey bag, but it was halfway closed to allow the baby to breathe.
It was warmly wrapped in a white blanket inside the bag.

According to the influencer, the child was abandoned on Friday by the mother in Ongata Rongai, and the authorities had been informed.

Eric pleaded with the child’s mother to contact him, saying that he was ready to help her.
The philanthropist noted that the mother had warmly wrapped the child, which was telling.
Numerous Kenyans were quick to question why the child was abandoned at the specific gate and speculated that the father might live there.

The mother’s plight, first highlighted by actress Dorea Chege and DJ Dibull, revealed that she had been bedridden for years, relying on her children for support.

During the visit, Eric praised the boys’ academic performance and encouraged their dreams, noting Simon wanted to be a doctor.
