The broad-based government is unbreakable and unable to be politically defeated, the Opposition has been cautioned.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi while attending the funeral of the fallen UDA aspirant Dr Enock Andanje in Manda area, this Malava constituency has rubbished claims by the opposition to ensure that they vote President William Ruto out of office come 2027 as far-fetched.

Mudavadi asked the opposition led by Rigathi Gachagua that they were in for a rude shock as the government was now water tight and ready to prove to them that they were a force to reckon with in the coming polls.

He said the opposition was only but spreading lies and propaganda against the government and yet they were not offering alternative solutions to Kenyans by assisting them.

โ€œWe have been listening to your lies here and there and even most Kenyans have realized you have nothing to offer to them in terms of leadership, only hellbent on settling political scores with President William Ruto,โ€ he noted.

Mudavadi said as government, they were busy initiating development across the country and will not be shaken by empty and tribal rhetoric from critics who were out to tarnish the broad-based leadership.

โ€œLet the opposition know that our unity is our strength and we are more solid and stable to be ruffled by them. We are ready to face and prove to then that we are no pushover,โ€ he added.

At the same time, he warned the Malava residents against being lured to support the opposition which has been traversing the constituency fronting their candidate.

โ€œWe have 7 by elections set for November why has (Wamunyoro) Rigathi Gachagua not fielded candidates in Ugunja and Kasipul Kapondo if they are really popular as they claim?โ€ he posed.

โ€œSince the times of Welangayi, Burudi Nabwera, Joshua Angatia, Nathan Anaswa, Soita Shitanda and Malulu Injendi, Malava has been making concrete decisions on leadership and with the coming by election, we know it will identify quality leadership by giving us a candidate from the governmentโ€™s party who will work with us to steer the constituency development ahead,โ€ he said.

He however reminded them that their decision to elect their preferred candidate lies solemnly with themselves and that government will only step up to campaign for their UDA candidate whom they will have nominated.

He also triggered their memories to the fact that the late MP Malulu Injendi was in government and hence they should give him the honor by electing a candidate from the government side too.

โ€œIt is time you stand tall and be counted and as history has it Malava has always been in government of the day. If these propagandists get you confused, youโ€™ll end up in opposition and loose terribly on the national cake distribution table,โ€ he warned.

โ€œAsk yourselves what interests does Malalah and Gachagua have in Malava only and not any other constituency then youโ€™ll know they are to no good at all and want to pluck you away from government goodies and it backtracks all the efforts other leaders had initiated in the constituency, be very very cautious with these liars who wants to use you and brand the region as anti-government,โ€ he went on.

Mudavadi dressed down DCP deputy party leader Cleophas Malalah for his verbal attacks on government and specifically President William Ruto and yet it was him who walked out on the latter.

โ€œIt is shocking to see Malalah abuse the hand that politically held his, funded his campaigns in bid to become the Kakamega county governor and later appointed him as a minister and UDA secretary general now calling us names and branding the government as corrupt. It is true that asante ya punda ni mateke,โ€ he paused.

He said Malala was a young politician who has totally chosen the wrong political path and has ended up disrespecting his mentors and should instead humble himself if he was to further his political ambitions.
