Former Machakos Health Minister Dr. Daniel Yumbya has urged the government to take firm action against individuals causing disruptions during other peopleโ€™s functions.

Speaking in Kakutha, Kangundo Sub-County, Dr. Yumbya emphasized the need for political tolerance among leaders and encouraged them to preach peace ahead of the next general elections.

He reminded politicians that the final decision rests with the electorate, who will choose their preferred leaders at the ballot.

Dr. Yumbya also called on the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to begin the registration of new voters, urging Kenyans to take advantage of the opportunity.

โ€œIโ€™m calling upon Kenyans to register as voters so that they can elect leaders of their choice. Ensure that you do not vote for any leader associated with acts of disruption,โ€ he said.

The former minister further challenged elected leaders to prioritize delivering on their promises to the people instead of engaging in unnecessary political conflict.
