Many Nakuru residents know her as Mama Soko.

Eunice Muriithi Wambui has declared her interest in the Nakuru Woman Rep seat come 2027 general polls.

The vocal Mama Soko will contest the seat on Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP).

She is not new in politics, as her journey began way back in 2013 when she contested Viwandani Ward seat in Naivasha.

Though she did not go for the big political parties such as TNA and URP that were parties of the day by then, Mama Soko won the seat on Mazingira Greens Party defeating opponents Ndungu Stephen Kihonge and Njoroge Bernard Muthomi.

After serving Viwandani Ward residents for five years in the county Assembly of Nakuru, she decided to go for higher seat- Woman Rep seat.

This time round she decided to contest on Ubuntu party that was part of Azimio.

Consultations within the Azimio saw her forced to abandon her ambitions.
