Deputy President Kithure Kindiki arrived in Algiers, Algeria, on Thursday to represent President William Ruto at the Fourth Intra-Africa Trade Fair (IATF2025).
The week-long trade fair has drawn Heads of State, business leaders, and policymakers from across the continent to explore opportunities for deepening Africaโs economic integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Kenyaโs participation underscores the governmentโs commitment to expanding regional trade, creating jobs for young people, and positioning local enterprises to tap into the continentโs 1.4 billion-strong market with a combined GDP of more than $3.4 trillion.
While in Algiers, Kindiki is expected to deliver Kenyaโs official statement, hold bilateral talks with fellow leaders, and highlight investment opportunities in manufacturing, agriculture, ICT, energy, housing, and services. His engagements align with President Rutoโs agenda of cementing Kenyaโs status as the trade and investment hub of Africa.
The IATF2025 is organized by Afreximbank in collaboration with the African Union and the AfCFTA Secretariat. It has become a premier platform for promoting intra-African trade and investment, providing businesses with market information, access to financing, and networking opportunities across diverse sectors.
