With Café NBO, the brand continues its mission to redefine the way tea is experienced – by combining traditional flavours with a modern, social twist.
At the opening event on Friday, this vision was brought to life with a curated tea tasting featuring Chaii Republic’s signature tea blends- from classic Kulhad Chai served in traditional clay cups to Kashmiri Noon Chai, Moroccan Mint, Earl Grey and a fruity hibiscus and mango infusion.
But Café NBO wants to offer more than just a great menu. The space aims to be a place for art, music and community.

The evening featured a live DJ set, henna art and a surprising musical performance that reflected the creative atmosphere of the café.
Attendees included media personalities, lifestyle influencers, creatives and executives from Thrive Hospitality, the group behind the brand.
In addition to tea, Café NBO also offers a select range of food and beverages. Visitors can look forward to modern tea bistro dishes, as well as live brick-oven pizzas, freshly baked rolls and homemade gelato – all part of the Chaii Republic’s culinary approach where global meets local.
With its blend of tradition, innovation and community spirit, Café NBO is well on its way to becoming a go-to spot in Nairobi for anyone looking for both a flavourful cup of tea and a meaningful connection.
