President William Ruto has invited the leadership of the Kenya Primary Schools Headteachers Association (KEPSHA) for a high-level meeting at State House scheduled for Friday, September 12, 2025.
The communication was made through a memo dated September 2025, authored by Fuad Abdalla Ali, the National Chairman of KEPSHA, and addressed to all members of the National Governing Council (NGC).
According to the memo, the KEPSHA delegation to the State House will comprise members of the National Executive Board, the National Governing Council, four representatives from each sub-county (Chairperson, Secretary, Treasurer, and Gender Representative), and the National Secretariat.
To facilitate logistical planning, KEPSHA directed all County Chairpersons to submit delegate details โ including name, position, school, sub-county, county, and contact information โ by close of business on Monday, 8th September 2025.
In the memo, Ali emphasised the importance of the engagement, saying: โThis invitation by His Excellency the President is a recognition of the role KEPSHA plays in shaping education from the grassroots to the national level.โ
He further asked members to take the directive seriously, saying: โWe must present ourselves as a united voice of primary school heads, ready to articulate the needs of learners, teachers, and communities across all counties.โ
The meeting is expected to discuss education sector priorities, challenges in primary schools, and the governmentโs commitment to support headteachers in implementing reforms.
