The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA), in partnership with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), has begun a nationwide sensitization campaign on the Anti-Bribery Act, 2016, the Anti-Bribery Procedures of 2022, and KeNHA’s internal anti-corruption guidelines.

The program, which targets weighbridge managers and staff, seeks to deepen awareness of legal and institutional frameworks governing bribery prevention, while equipping personnel with the knowledge to identify, report, and deter corrupt practices.

KeNHA officials noted that the initiative is part of the Authority’s broader commitment to transparency and accountability in service delivery. By strengthening reporting mechanisms and closing gaps that could be exploited by unethical practices, the agency aims to reinforce the fight against corruption in infrastructure management.

The exercise underscores the government’s ongoing efforts to institutionalize integrity within public institutions, particularly in areas prone to corruption such as road transport and weighbridge operations.
