Katani, Machakos: Kahuthu Ocholla, a young woman from Katani Villas where a fire recently broke out and razed houses is stunnned after reading comments from some Kenyans about the incident.

In a video shared online, Kahuthu shared about the scary moment when the fire broke out and they changed all the plans they had for the evening. Thsis life can change like this one minute, you hav e a home the next you don’t.

Another person opined that the fire was the problem of buying houses on loan to which Kahuthu sarcastically replied that it was the better then that the person was rich anough to buy onw ithout a loan.

Another TikToker said that they used devil’s money to buy the houses while someone also opined that the houses were bought with proceeeds from stolen money. Some people were okay with Katanani villas getting burnt because houses in the slums always get burnt while another said that the devil had come for his money.

Another story revaled that a massive fire engulfed a part of Tassia Estate in Embakasi, causing a lot of destruction.

Accoriding to reports, a gas explosion sparked the blaze and highly flammable materials worsened the fire.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino talked to the victims, noting that several families had lost all their belongings in the huge fire.
