Students of Gangara Primary School in South Imenti constituency have a reason to smile after Echo Network Africa Foundation donated to the institution educational facilities meant to improve their academic performance.

The school received a range of educational resources, including a mobile science laboratory, laptops, a printer, and sanitary pads for girls.

This initiative is part of the Foundation’s broader commitment to improving education and empowering vulnerable populations, particularly women, while also recognising the needs of the boy child.

Echo Network Africa Foundation is an organization established in 1982 with the mission to empower women and support grassroots communities.

Speaking during the handover event, the Foundation’s President and CEO, Jennifer Riria, emphasized the organization’s core mission of working with grassroots communities to uplift the vulnerable.

“Our goal is to support primary schools with mobile laboratories in order to ensure that children perform well in sciences and mathematics,” said Dr. Riria.

She also revealed that next year, the Foundation plans to target more schools across the country with similar support.

Gangara Primary School head teacher, Silas Muriuki, expressed his gratitude to the Foundation, noting the significant impact the resources will have on learning at the school.

“This support will be of great help. Previously, our students had to walk to a nearby school for practical lessons. This mobile laboratory will make a big difference,” said Muriuki.
