Ogam, one of the most lethal forwards in the FKF Premier League last season, netted an impressive 15 goals in just 17 appearances despite losing half the season to a knee injury.

Born on December 21, 2004, in Nairobi, Ogam honed his craft through youth stints with Galaxy FC, Sunrise FC, and UEFA Despanol, before making his senior breakthrough with Rainbow FC in Kenyaโ€™s second tier.

His move to Tusker FC in 2024 was transformative โ€” not just for him, but for the club. Head coach Charles Okere converted him from a midfielder into a striker, a decision that turned him into one of the countryโ€™s most feared goal-scorers.

โ€œIt is a really bittersweet moment for us as a team. As much as we are sad that he (Ogam) wonโ€™t be part of us in the coming season, we are delighted to see one of our own move to such a huge league and a great team,โ€ Okere told Telecomasia.net.

Okere credited the clubโ€™s environment for helping players flourish and earn international recognition.

โ€œIt shows that we are doing something at the club to give a good environment for players to be seen. It is now our job to make more Ogams, and that is what we will do. We can only wish him the best at his new club,โ€ he added.

Ogamโ€™s departure comes at a delicate time, as the Brewers have also lost defender Michael Kibwage to Gor Mahia and winger Naaman Balecho to Bandari FC after both declined new contract offers. This transition period will test Okereโ€™s ability to rebuild and retool his side ahead of the new campaign.

On September 3, 2025, Wolfsberger AC formally unveiled Ogam as their newest signing, with club president Dietmar Riegler praising the strikerโ€™s potential.

โ€œWe are delighted to welcome Ryan to Wolfsberger AC. He is an exciting young striker with great potential. We have been following his progress at Tusker FC closely, and his recent performances with the Harambee Stars have further underlined his quality,โ€ said Riegler.

Ogam himself struck a determined tone as he looked ahead to life in Austria.

โ€œI am really excited at the journey ahead, and I know it will not be easy. I will need to work twice or thrice harder than I was here because the expectation is definitely higher. But I am very optimistic, and I am looking forward to the challenge,โ€ he said.

Wolfsberger AC, who finished fourth in the Austrian Bundesliga playoffs last season, signingย ย the Kenyan is both a statement of intent and an investment in youthful attacking flair.

Ogam now carries not just his own ambitions but also the hopes of Kenyan football fans eager to see him follow in the footsteps of legends like Michael Olunga โ€” and perhaps write an even bigger story.
