Ben Stanley Omondi (R) and Masoud Juma
Kenyan striker Masoud Juma has sealed a return to paid ranks abroad just a month after joining an NSL club ahead of the CHAN 2024 tournament.
Harambee Stars striker Masoud Juma will not be playing in Kenya after all after sealing another transfer overseas.
Juma made a surprise move to National Super League club Migori Youth just before the 2024 African Nations Championships, which made him eligible for the tournament, which is reserved for players who only feature in their local leagues.
However, after the conclusion of the tournament, Juma is heading out without playing for the club after securing a move to Lebanese club Nejmeh SC.

Juma is set to play alongside Kenyan midfielder Anthony โTeddyโ Akumu at Nejmeh who are a football giant in Lebanon as they have won nine league titles, the last being in the 2023-24 season.
The former Kariobangi Sharks striker is a journeyman who has played in the Middle East since 2018 with clubs in the United Arab Emirates, Libya, Morocco, Algeria and Saudi Arabia as well as Iran.
His last stint was with Iranian club Esteghlal, where he played for six months, before leaving at the end of the 2024-25 season having managed three goals in 17 games across all competitions.
Juma, however, won a trophy with Esteghlal who claimed the Hazfi Cup in his last match at the club.
The former Cape Town City strikerโs familiarity with the region will not make it hard to adapt and he has the advantage of having another Kenyan at his new club.
Juma is the third Kenyan player to move to Lebanon in the last one year following Akumu and ex-Gor Mahia striker Benson Omala, who joined Al-Safa in August 2024, although the now Cambodia-based forward saw his transfer ran into headwinds.
