Nairobi, September 11, 2025 โ€“ Equity Bank continued its commanding run at the 2025 Interbank Games, delivering a string of dominant performances that reinforced its status as the defending overall champions.

The highlight of Wednesdayโ€™s fixtures came in netball, where Equity overwhelmed Caritas Microfinance Bank with a staggering 30โ€“2 victory at the Kenya School of Monetary Studies. The result added to a growing list of statement wins, including an 11โ€“0 football rout of Access Bank earlier in the week.

In netball, Brenda Ngaira, Samba Mjomba, and Betty Kananu starred as Equity showcased flawless teamwork and clinical finishing. Their momentum carried into menโ€™s volleyball, where the team dispatched Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) in straight sets under the best-of-two format. Captain Nobestus Kipkosgei praised his teammates, saying:

โ€œThis win epitomizes Equityโ€™s depth and dominance across multiple fronts.โ€

The womenโ€™s football team also impressed, defeating DTB 2โ€“0 in a lively clash. Naomi Obara and dual-sport standout Ngaira provided the goals. Coach Paul Onyango described the display as โ€œclinical,โ€ adding that the side is preparing for a tougher test against I&M.

Elsewhere, both menโ€™s and womenโ€™s table tennis teams secured 3โ€“0 sweeps against Credit Bank and Maisha MFB respectively. Badminton, draughts, darts, basketball, and handball also produced victories, further cementing Equityโ€™s stronghold across disciplines.

Not all contests went Equityโ€™s way. The womenโ€™s Tug of War team lost 0โ€“2 to KCB despite a spirited fight, while the menโ€™s handball side fell narrowly 12โ€“15 to the same opponents in a fast-paced encounter.
