Trouble seems to be looming in the former deputy president, Rigathi Gachagua’s Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP).

This is after a section of party officials from Narok county threatened to exit the party in large numbers.

Speaking on Thursday, September 18, they argued that they would be forced to leave the party if justice is not done in the by-election expected to be held in the Narok town ward.

The party officials in Narok decried being excluded from the consensus that led to Douglas Masikonde’s nomination to run for the Narok Town Ward MCA under the party’s ticket without their knowledge.

They also questioned why the decision was made in Kajiado County, despite the presence of a DCP office in Narok with committee members.

The officials stated that if at all Gachagua wants to support Narok residents, he should ensure that he listens to people at the grassroots level. They stated that the DCP party should also closely work with the elders in Narok.
