The victim, who was a charcoal dealer, reported being violently robbed in the Nguyoini area.

He told the detectives that he was lured by the said suspect, who posed as a customer. According to the investigative unit, Gachara told the unsuspecting victim that a friend of his required at least 20 sacks of charcoal.

The charcoal vendor, who was eager to close the deal, managed to source the required charcoal, not knowing that he had just fallen into a trap.

The DCI said the vendor was then ambushed by the suspect and his accomplices, who were in a Toyota Prado SUV without a license plate.
