West FM Radio fans from the constituencies of Lugari, Likuyani, Navakholo, and Malava gathered at Panpaper grounds in Lugari Sub-County to celebrate a major milestone , completing payments for a vehicle bought through installments under the West FM Kakamega Flying Umbrella initiative.

The celebration doubled as a planning session, with members charting the way forward for more community-driven projects under the umbrella.

Speaking at the event, Chris Nyongesa, Chairperson of Kakamega Flying Umbrella, and Treasurer Sofia Tito commended the fans for their unity, commitment, and sacrifices that made the vehicle project possible.

Chief Edith Khagali of Marakusi Location, who is also a member of the initiative, urged fans to deepen their cooperation to expand and sustain future projects.

The colorful event was graced by West Media’s Head of Programs, Nick Nabangi, alongside Mumbo FM presenter  Nang’oni Sindani. They hailed the fans as key stakeholders in West Media and praised their vision for development, describing the initiative as a model of community empowerment.
