Saboti MP Caleb Amisi inspires over 700 KCSE candidates at St. Joseph’s Boys Kitale, urging them to conquer both class and field.
Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has challenged over 700 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) candidates at St. Joseph’s Boys National School, Kitale, to aim for top grades as they prepare for this year’s national examinations.
Speaking during a Sunday Mass service at the school, Amisi drew from his own life story to inspire the candidates, underscoring that humble beginnings should not limit ambition.
“Coming from a humble background did not stop me from being the best in Western Kenya in KCSE, becoming the Member of Parliament for Saboti, and now pursuing a Master’s in International Relations at USIU,” he said.
The legislator set a bold target for the candidates, urging them to achieve a mean score of 10.65. He likened the academic challenge to the school’s recent triumph at the Kenya Secondary Schools Sports Association (KSSSA) National Ball Games, where St. Joseph’s Boys won the national soccer championship.
“Just as you conquered the field, you can conquer the classroom and bring academic pride to this nation,” Amisi said.
School leaders described the MP’s visit as a timely boost to the students’ morale as the countdown to the KCSE intensifies.
