Kakamega: Son of former Malava Member of Parliament, the late Malulu Injendi, has finally broken his silence after he lost in the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) nominations.

Ryan Injendi finished second in the nomination exercise held on Saturday, September 20. The ticket was won by Kabras West Member of the County Assembly (MCA), David Ndakwa.

Addressing the press on Sunday, September 21, Ryan claimed he had been rigged out by senior UDA officials.

According to the former MPโ€™s son, some influential party officials hired goons who he claimed tampered with the final results.

He also claimed that there was violence in some parts of the constituency during the exercise, leading to injuries sustained by one of his supporters.. He said the supporter was in the hospital.

Despite claiming the nomination exercise was rigged in favour of Ndakwa, Ryan said he will continue supporting President William Ruto.

He also vowed not to exit the UDA party, as he plans to capture the seat in the 2027 General Election.

He also called on the Independent and Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to conduct a free and fair by-election set for November 27.

During the nomination, Ndakwa was declared the winner after garnering 8,756 votes against Ryan Injendi, who received 6,262 votes.

Leonard Shimaka finished third with 3,582, while Simon Kangwana had 2,341 votes.

He will now fly the UDA flag and will face off against DAP-K’s Seth Panyako and DCP’s Edgar Busiega.
