Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has unveiled a raft of new appointments and reappointments to KNEC, KISE, and other education councils.
Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has announced a fresh wave of appointments and reappointments across his ministry aimed at strengthening service delivery.
In a gazette notice dated Friday, September 26, Ogamba confirmed Zephania Koech as a member of the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) for a period of four years. He further appointed Kennedy Otieno, Stephen Kubai, and Josephat Kemboi to serve on the Kenya Institute of Special Education (KISE) council for a term of three years.
Additionally, Saida Ali Aden was reappointed to the KISE council for a term of three years, effective September 26, 2025. Lucy Rono was also named to the Board of Directors of the National Biosafety Authority for a three-year term.
The notice further listed appointments by Attorney General Dorcas Oduor, who named Bernard Kipkoech Ngetich and Tom Ratemo to the Kenya School of Law board for a term of four years. She also appointed Bernhard Ngetich to the same board, designating Ratemo as chairperson.
Elsewhere, county leaders also made changes. Kitui Governor Julius Malombe appointed Julius Waita Mwatu, Amos Kitavi Kivite, Jackline Kambua Kyalo, Rehana Ismail, Joel Mwinzi Muyanga, Festus Mutei Mulu, and Samuel Gathuki Mwangi to the Kitui County Audit Committee.
Kwale Governor Fatuma Achani named Halima Kauchi as Chairperson of the Kwale County Biashara Revolving Fund Committee for three years, effective August 28, 2025.
