‎NAIROBI, Kenya – A mitumba trader from South B, Nairobi, is the latest millionaire in Coca-Cola’s ongoing Funua Flava Pata Mita under-the-crown promotion.

‎Millicent Wanjiru Mwai, a mother of two and Sunday school teacher, won the Sh1 million weekly grand prize and received her cheque at a colorful ceremony held at South B Market on Saturday. She was cheered on by friends, fellow traders, and shoppers.

‎Overjoyed, Wanjiru said the prize would transform her second-hand clothes business.

“I will use this cash to build a permanent shop so that I can make good money,” she noted.

Coca-Cola Beverages Kenya named Wanjiru as the fifth millionaire since the promotion launched two months ago. Previous winners have come from Homa Bay and Baringo counties.

‎To participate, consumers buy a Coke, Fanta, Sprite, or Krest soda, check under the crown for a code, and send it to 40111. The promotion features daily prizes of cash and data bundles, and a weekly Sh1 million jackpot.

“We are thrilled to see winners emerge from all corners of Kenya,” said comedian Awinja, a Coca-Cola representative.

She added that ten more Sh1 million prizes are still available, with winners also receiving complimentary financial training to help them manage their windfall.

‎Daily prizes are sent directly via M-Pesa or Airtel Money, while weekly winners are contacted by Coca-Cola’s customer care team.

‎Encouraging more participation, Coca-Cola urged Kenyans to enjoy their favorite beverage and stand a chance to become the next millionaire.
