Internet usage per county

Internet access in Kenya remains uneven, with stark contrasts across counties.

According to theย Communication Authority of Kenya and KNBS: Key indicators on uptake of ICTs based on 2023/2024 Kenya Housing Survey,ย Nairobi leads with 64.7% of residents online, followed by Kiambu (54%), Nyeri (50.1%), Mombasa (46.9%), and Uasin Gishu (35%).

In contrast, remote counties like Garissa (16.5%), Marsabit (16.3%), Tana River (15.5%), Turkana (12.7%), and West Pokot (9.1%) lag significantly.
