Bahati is facing rejection from his wife, Diana Marua including fans over his comeback song dubbed “Seti”.
The new song captures Bahati with a bevy of half-naked vixens whining what their mamas gave them with reckless abandon.
The song’s storyline also delves into casual flings and entanglements.
Through a statement shared on social media, Diana distanced herself from Bahati affirming that the latter is not in alignment with her values.
Additionally, Diana noted that as much as she believes in supporting each other as a couple, she’s also committed to safeguarding her brand and other ventures around herself.
“I know many of you have seen the recent conversations and content around Bahati.
While I respect his journey as an artist and the choices he makes for his career, I want to be clear- my focus is different.
I am fully committed to my businesses, my partnerships, and the brands that trust me. That means carrying myself in a way that reflects responsibility, growth, and the values I stand for.
Out of respect for my family, my partners, and the people who look up to me, I will not be involved in the direction Bahati has recently taken in his new music,” read her statement in part.
Bahati did not only face rejection from his own house but also from fans who opined that he should extend his musical comeback since he’s out of touch.
The dissenting voices also stretched to Bahati’s bold look, with his stylist drawing criticism.
Subsequently, a section faulted his music composition skills while also dragging Diana into the mess.
We sampled a few of the reactions below.
“Huyu boyz aongeze break sasa”
“Imekua outbreak ya familia kutoa ngoma za upuzi”
“Bibi yako ndio alikuandikia hiyo wimbo”
“Anataka itoke kama Set It lakini haiwezi”
“Arudi tu break”
“Familia nzima inaimba upuzi”
“Lakini sasa mbona avae pums”
“Ata shetani anashangaa”
