Margaret Muthoni Njoroge was deported during a layover at Heathrow Airport in London, England, en route to the US.

She was never given a reason why her flight was cut short, only that she needed to call the Kenyan Embassy or return home.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, she vividly remembered the heartbreaking moment the incident happened and the inconvenience it caused her.

The second mzungu paid for her ticket back to Kenya via South Africa, giving her some hope of returning home.

Back home, Muthoni’s life changed as she had given away her possessions, and she fell into depression.

She tried therapy and took on menial jobs to stay sane and earn some money for her personal needs.

Muthoni followed her friend’s advice to the letter, remaining optimistic that she could still return to the US.
