Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz marked his birthday with an outpouring of affection from fans, family, and fellow artists. But the most heartfelt tribute came from his partner and fellow singer, Zuchu, who went all out to celebrate the special day.
Taking to social media, Zuchu penned a moving message filled with admiration and playful affection. She described Diamond as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT) while showering him with a string of affectionate titles in both Swahili and English.
Her list included endearing phrases such as โBoss,โ โHero,โ โKiboko yangu,โ โMentor wangu,โ โMsimamizi wangu,โ โDanga langu,โ โLast say wangu,โ โMuchuchu wangu,โ and even โboyfriend.โ But the most striking was when she publicly referred to him as โMume wanguโ (my husband), underscoring the depth of their bond.
Playfully, she also coined a quirky nickname for him โ โmy shmugum.โ
Beyond the affectionate names, Zuchu kept the tribute lighthearted. She joked about constantly โgetting on his nerves,โ cheekily declared that he didnโt need gifts because โhe already has her,โ and ended with a playful warning for him to prepare for their shared future.
โAs I promise to hit your head up and get on your last nerve forever, I also want to wish you a happy birthday, my shmugum,โ she wrote.
Diamond Platnumz quickly acknowledged the public show of love with an equally emotional reply. He affectionately called Zuchu โUsingizi wanguโ (my rest, my peace) and followed it up with a heartfelt declaration:
โUsingizi wanguโฆ This man here loves you so much.โ
The day carried extra meaning for Diamond, one of Africaโs biggest music stars. His birthday coincided with that of his son, Naseeb Junior, whom he shares with Kenyan singer Tanasha Donna.
As fans celebrated the music giantโs new year, Zuchuโs message stood out โ a blend of romance, admiration, and humor that reflected the coupleโs strong bond both privately and publicly.
