The highly-publicised Luo Festival 2025 took place on Saturday, August 9, at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi, and it was an event to remember.

In 2024, the company made history by becoming the first non-European events company to co-produce The Bürgerfest; the annual Citizens’ Festival in Germany, often hosted at the German President’s official residence, Schloss Bellevue in Berlin.

The Bürgerfest is a prestigious celebration of civic engagement and cultural exchange, attracting thousands of guests, including diplomats, artists, and community leaders.

Its involvement not only showcased Kenya’s ability to deliver world-class event production but also demonstrated that African companies can compete, and excel, on the global stage.

Notably, the perfect execution of the Luo Festival comes at a critical moment for Kenya’s live entertainment industry.

In recent years, the sector has battled pandemic-era disruptions, rising production costs, and a series of high-profile event flops that shook public confidence.

Major sponsors like East African Breweries Limited (EABL), once steady backers of flagship events such as Walker Town and Tusker Oktoberfest, had scaled back after repeated logistical failures, last-minute cancellations, and refund controversies.
