The Democratic Action Party of Kenya party leader Eugene Wamalwa, Mumias East legislator Peter Salasya, Malava MP aspirant Seth Panyako and Kakamega senator Bonnie Khalwale were forced to cut short their rally after facing a hostile crowd.

The team was addressing the locals at a bullfighting event held at Mahira grounds when it turned hostile and started chanting ‘tutam’ slogans.

The politicians’ security teams whisked them into waiting vehicles after sensing danger as the crowd was turning more hostile and chaotic while accusing them of lacking an agenda but spreading hatred in their address.

The area may not longer be welcome to the opposition following the president William Ruto’s aide Faruk Kibet’s sustained forays aimed at development.

Kibet’s visits seem to be bearing fruits as a government candidate David Ndakwa who is flying the UDA party ticket may emerge victorious in by election slated for November 27.

Kibet has crisscrossed the whole constituency in empowerment that has seen vulnerable groups among them youth, Bodaboda, women, and Widows get millions for their business activities.
