A viral video shared by comedian Propesa has shown the harrowing moment a motorist knocked down a cyclist in Nairobi.

The video, captured using an Insta360 camera, showed the cyclist pedalling along Mombasa Road. He wore a black outfit with lime green accents to ensure visibility on the road.
As he reached the underpass around the Ole Sereni area, tragedy struck.
A black Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, which was steadily moving behind him, knocked down the cyclist. He exclaimed in shock as he hit the ground, while numerous vehicles slowed down to avoid hitting the cyclist.

Meanwhile, the Prado dragged the bicycle for a while after knocking it down.
The motorist swore as he got to his feet and walked to his bicycle.
He picked up the damaged bike and moved it to the side of the road. He then walked up to the Prado, which was parked a short distance away.
The cyclist defended himself, noting that he had a camera that captured the incident.
The clip sparked a heated discussion on who was in the wrong, with netizens divided on whether it was the motorist or the cyclist.
