Lilian Odira promoted to sergeant after her golden 800m win

World women’s 800m champion Lilian Odira has been honoured by the Kenya Prisons Service after winning a gold medal at the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, last month.

The Nairobi Law Monthly September Edition

Odira, 26, was on Friday promoted from constable to sergeant following her remarkable performance.

The ceremony was presided over by the Commissioner General of Prisons, Patrick Aranduh, at the Kenya Prisons Headquarters in Nairobi.
