Two-time African Nations Championship winners DR Congo will face Angola in a make-or-break contest of Group A, as the winner will inch closer to the quarter-finals.

Angola, who will be playing their last match, lies 2nd on 4 points, a point behind the leaders, and nothing besides a win will see them eliminated, while DRC, who have 3 points from 2 matches, stand a better chance of progressing if they avoid a defeat.

The match will be played at the Nyayo stadium under floodlights starting at 8pm.

Another 2-time champion, Morocco, will take on Zambia in the 5pm kickoff at the same stadium in a crucial encounter for both sides.

The Atlas Lions, who won the trophy in 2018 and 2020, must win against Zambia to stand a chance of progressing after losing to Kenya on match day 2 and lying 3rd on 3 points in group A.

Morocco will wind up their group assignment on Sunday 17th August against DR Congo.

On their part, Zambia, who remain winless after their opening two matches, have no room for more errors, and they must win all their remaining 2 fixtures against Morocco and Kenya to stand a chance of making it to the quarter-finals.

A win for Morocco, DRC or Angola will throw the group wide open heading to the final matches.
