CHAN 2024 in Numbers

A total of 22 matches out of 42 have been played since the start of the 8th edition of the African Nations Championships(CHAN) being held jointly by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.

48 goals have been scored so far, with 6 players tied as top scorers on 2 goals each.

Austin Odhiambo of Kenya, Tanzania’s Clement Mzize, Allan Okello of Uganda, Kaporal of Angola, South Africa’s Thabiso Kutumela and Sudanese Abdel Raouf are competing for the golden boot, each having found the back of the net twice.

34 players have scored a goal each, with two players scoring own goals: Quinto of Angola in a Group A match against Morocco and Nigeria’s Ngenge against Sudan.

Tanzania is the only team which has qualified for the quarter-finals, while Nigeria, Guinea and Nigeria are the three teams to have been eliminated from the tournament.
