Ulinzi Stars vice-captain Boniface Muchiri has urged Harambee Stars players to remain humble ahead of their final group stage match against Zambia in the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024).
Harambee Stars have been impressive so far, opening their campaign with a 1-0 victory over two-time champions DR Congo.
They then played out a 1-1 draw with Angola, a match in which the Video Assistant Referee was heavily involved right up to the final whistle.

The Harambee Stars center back is set for a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering a knee injury.
In their recent match against Morocco, the Atlas Lions were the favourites to make a mark following their 2-0 opening victory over Angola, but they were silenced by Harambee Stars, who claimed a 1-0 victory.
Despite Harambee Starsโ recent exploits, Boniface Muchiri has urged the players to continue burning the midnight oil since they have so many other matches to conquer.
Boniface Muchiri pointed out that no one had believed they were going to win against Morocco, but added that today’s football is different and they had to put their best foot forward, which eventually paid off with a win.
He added that as they gear up for a clash against Zambiaโs Chipolopolo on Sunday, Harambee Stars should continue working hard and avoid letting their past victories get into their heads.
