Minnesota lawmaker Huldah Momanyi-Hiltsley has slammed Kenyans who criticised her dress code.

It all started when a video of the lawmaker and former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i in Minnesota surfaced.

The clip shared by Huldah showed the politician walking outdoors alongside her while being closely guarded by his security detail.

Matiang’i paired khaki trousers with a white shirt and a striped coat, but what left TikTok users talking were his shoes.

Instead of formal wear, he completed the look with sneakers.

Huldah, the first Kenyan-born politician elected to a US state assembly, was dressed formally in a skirt suit as she welcomed Matiang’i.

Their outfits attracted ridicule from some Kenyans, but Huldah had something to say about it.

Huldah laughed off the comment and responded by saying:

In other news, former deputy president Rigathi Gachagua recently visited Dallas, Texas, where he spent time with Kenyans living and working in the area.

He interacted with the diaspora community, listening to their experiences while outlining his ideas for Kenya’s future.

Ahead of the gathering, Gachagua and his wife, Dorcas, toured a spacious Texas property that featured a garden, garage, and cattle section.
