Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has returned to the country, following a political tour in the United States that was cut short. His arrival on Thursday afternoon was marked by a large and enthusiastic reception at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), which caused significant security and traffic disruptions.

Upon his landing, Gachagua was received by a delegation of political allies and supporters, including DCP Deputy Leader Cleophas Malala and Naivasha MP Jayne Kihara. As he disembarked, hundreds of supporters thronged the airport’s arrival terminal, chanting his name and singing solidarity songs.
