Cabinet Secretary for Public Service, Human Capital Development, and Special Programs, Geoffrey Ruku, has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to its development agenda, stating that President William Ruto remains focused on delivering tangible progress rather than being distracted by political noise.
Speaking during a Development Day at Gatunga Boys Secondary School in Tharaka Nithi County, CS Ruku emphasized that the Kenya Kwanza administration is prioritizing infrastructure and service delivery across the country.
โThe President is too focused on driving development to waste time responding to busybodies and empty rhetoric,โ Ruku said. โOur mission is to fulfill the promises made to Kenyans, not to be sidetracked by non-constructive criticism.โ
Among the key projects mentioned is the long-awaited CiakarigaโIrundini road, which Ruku confirmed is slated for construction. He assured residents that all stalled development initiatives in Tharaka Nithi and other regions would be completed under President Rutoโs leadership.
He also revealed that both President Ruto and Deputy President Kiithure Kindiki are scheduled to tour the Mt. Kenya East region soon to commission new projects and revive those that had stalled.
โThis government is committed to ensuring that no region is left behind. The people of Tharaka Nithi can expect more investments and improved infrastructure,โ he said.
CS Ruku commended residents for their continued support of the government and promised that they would benefit significantly from national development programs.
He assured them that the government has both the resources and the political goodwill to initiate transformative projects.
