According to the 2025 Global Peace Index by the Institute for Economics & Peace, Iceland ranks as the worldโs safest country, followed by Ireland and New Zealand.
The top ten also include Austria, Switzerland, Singapore, Portugal, Denmark, Slovenia, and Finland.
The index evaluates 23 indicators, including external conflicts, military expenditure, terrorism, and homicide rates.
These nations have consistently led the rankings for nearly two decades, reflecting the long-term benefits of peaceful policies.
