American YouTuber J Rello is cutting his Kenyan trip short after facing massive backlash online and on the ground for disparaging remarks he made about women in Nairobi.

The Atlanta-based content creator went viral midweek after posting a video criticizing the capitalโ€™s nightlife, claiming that โ€œGod just didnโ€™t bless Kenya with pretty womenโ€ and dismissing Nairobiโ€™s social scene as โ€œaverage and disappointing.โ€

The comments ignited a fiery storm on social media, with Kenyans flooding his platforms to clap back. Many accused him of disrespect, โ€œpoor taste,โ€ and projecting โ€œsex tourism vibesโ€ in his commentary.

The backlash escalated so intensely that Rello admitted he was โ€œbasically hiding in [his] BnBโ€ as the criticism mounted. He later announced that he had booked a flight out of Kenya, declaring:

โ€œIโ€™d rather get kicked to the curb by women in Atlanta than stay here.โ€

Relloโ€™s viral outburst has since sparked heated debates online about cultural sensitivity, respect for host countries, and the pitfalls of chasing clout through controversial takes.
