Popular Kenyan actress Jackie Matubia has strongly denied claims that she was the cause of another womanโ€™s failed marriage.

The accusations surfaced after a woman alleged that during Matubiaโ€™s time on the hit TV drama Zora, she had an affair with her husband. According to the claims, the man allegedly bought Matubia both a car and a house โ€” leading to their divorce.

In a lighthearted yet firm response, Matubia dismissed the rumors, saying she was shocked by the allegations.

โ€œA friend of mine sent me that story and I was likeโ€”maybe I donโ€™t even know I was bought a car and a house,โ€ she joked. โ€œCan I really hustle this hard if I already had those things? My Lord!โ€

The actress further urged Kenyans to avoid spreading fabricated stories, adding that some men mislead their wives by inventing relationships that never existed.

โ€œOther peopleโ€™s husbands should stop lying about us. And if anyone really bought me a car and a house under my name, please let me know so I can stop struggling. Imagine itโ€™s Sunday and Iโ€™m still hustling,โ€ she said.

Matubia, known for her roles in Tahidi High, Zora, and Salem, maintained that she does not own a house and has been working hard to build her career.

This is not the first time the actress has been forced to respond to rumors about her personal life, but she maintains that she will continue focusing on her family, career, and brand growth despite the speculation.
