Police officers in Kakamega have arrested a key suspect in the murder of a second year student of Alupe University.
Faith Kiliswa Namakwangwachi body was found lifeless with stab wounds on Wednesday morning at Mbande Guest house in Matete.
The deceased hailed from Nambilima village in Lugari.
According to reports, the student who had lost her mother in August this year, was killed by her boyfriend in cold blood by stabbing.
After committing the heinous crime, the suspect identified as Dubicus Wafula who hails from Nalondo village in Bungoma fled to Muhoroni where he was arrested while trying to travel to Nairobi.
The suspect is currently being held at Kakamega Police Station awaiting arraignment in court.
Mourning the death of Faith, Lugari Member of Parliament Nabii Nabwera called for speedy investigations to ensure timely justice.

Meanwhile police officers in Kakamega are also investigating an incident where a 6-yea-old boy died in an inferno at their house in Bukura village in Lurambi.
According to residents led by Peter Lime, the mother of the child who is a businesswoman at Bukura market, locked him in the house due to his stubbornness, as she left for the market.
The cause of the fire is yet to be established.
The body of the boy has since been moved to Kakamega referral Hospitalย awaiting a postmortem to determine the cause of the death.
