Beatrice Chebet, Faith Kipyegon Clinch Gold & Silver For Kenya In Women's 5000m

Beatrice Chebet secured her second world title after winning the 5,000 metres at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, Japan, on Saturday, September 20.

Having already bagged gold in the 10,000 metres, Chebet stormed to victory in 14:54.36, boosting Kenyaโ€™s tally to five gold medals.

She was closely followed by compatriot and close friend Faith Kipyegon, who took silver to hand Kenya a dominant 1-2 finish. Kipyegon finished in 14:55.07, a season’s best.
