Bungoma Senator David Wakoli has called on the Ministry of Education to release capitation funds to schools so they can run their daily activities with ease.

Speaking to the press after delivering thirty computers and sanitary pads to Kuywa Girls High School in Kabuchai constituency on behalf of National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, Senator Wakoli said the government needs to deliver on its mandate of ensuring learning activities are uninterrupted.
Wakoli also expressed a commitment to ensuring students are well-equipped with the necessary knowledge, especially in modern technology, which includes computer studies. He stated that he delivered the donation on behalf of the Speaker, who is currently out of the country.
He further urged students to be disciplined and work hard in their studies, as it is the only key to a successful future.
The schoolโs principal, Isabella Wanyonyi, expressed her gratitude for the donation. She said that previously, they had to borrow computers from neighboring schools for their candidates to sit for their examinations.
She also mentioned that many of the students come from humble backgrounds, and the donation of sanitary pads will be of great help, enabling them to attend lessons without interruptions.
