Residents of Mwihoko, Kiambu County, have been left in shock after CCTV footage captured two men breaking into a rented apartment in broad daylight.

The incident, which occurred around noon, was recorded by security cameras at a posh apartment complex. In the footage, the suspects are seen driving to the premises and parking their vehicle outside the building before proceeding with their plan.

One of the men is then captured on an interior camera forcing his way into a house while his accomplice stands guard at the entrance. The burglars appeared calm and calculated, executing the break-in in a manner that has unsettled residents who now fear for their safety.

Police have launched investigations into the incident, urging members of the public with information to come forward. Authorities also called on landlords and tenants in the area to tighten security measures, including vetting visitors and reinforcing surveillance systems.
