The 2024 edition of the African Nations Championship (CHAN), co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, has commenced with high energy, devoted fans, and standout performances that signal an exciting tournament ahead.

In each fixture, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) selects one exceptional player as the Man of the Match, honouring their statistics, influence, game sense, and leadership on the pitch.

This official recognition is awarded immediately after every match across the three host nations.

The list of honourees is continuously updated through the competition, which concludes on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Since the championship kicked off on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, outstanding players have been awarded so far.

The awarding trend continues on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, as action resumes in Group B, where Mauritania will face hosts Tanzania, while Burkina Faso takes on the Central African Republic. Both matches will be played at the Mkapa Stadium.

On Thursday, August 7, 2025, Kenya will face Angola while Zambia will take on DR Congo in Group A. Both Kenya and Tanzania will be seeking to extend their winning streak at the championship after picking up vital wins in their respective opening fixtures of the tournament.
