The Kenya Police FC star revealed that Harambee Stars are motivated to give their all in every game as a show of loyalty to coach Benni McCarthy.
Marvin Nabwire has disclosed the impact Benni McCarthy has had on Harambee Stars players since he was unveiled as the coach on March 3, 2025, at Serena Hotel.
Benni McCarthy signed a two-year contract, until 2027, where he intends to guide Harambee Stars to the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) glory.
The South African native has since started his campaign with Harambee Stars on a high, starting with his exploits in the African Nations Championship.

Harambee Stars were in Group A, alias the โGroup of Deathโ, but have defied all odds to top the group stage and will now be heading to the quarterfinal against Madagascar. They won their opening match against DR Congo.
Harambee Stars then held Angola to a 1-1 draw before triumphing over Morocco and Zambia to seal their group stage campaign at the top.
โBenni McCarthy is one of the best coachesโฆgetting someone like him, who is closer to his players, is not easy, but he always interacts with everybody,โ Marvin Nabwire revealed.
โWhen you play in a match, we fight for him and we are very close, so I would always want to do everything to impress him.โ
Marvin Nabwire added that when they started the tournament, there was a lot of pressure for them to deliver, and now they are closer to history.
Having gone past the group stages and now targeting the quarterfinals, Marvin Nabwire is confident about Harambee Stars’ chances of lifting the CHAN 2024 trophy.
โItโs a good feeling because when we started, fans had very high expectations, and we are glad to have made it happen. We aim to win the trophy, and I must admit that itโs a great feeling to be here,โ Marvin Nabwire added.
โWhen we started this tournament, we said every game would be a final, and we feel ready to take on them. We shall not underrate them. We have the home advantage and we shall capitalise on that.โ
Harambee Stars will be up against Madagascar on Friday, August 22, and Marvin Nabwire is banking on home advantage to secure a win and head to the semifinal of the tournament.
With support from Benni McCarthy, the Kenya Police FC midfielder strongly believes that anything is possible for Harambee Stars.
