The Principal Secretary State department for Higher Education and Research Dr Beatrice Inyangala is among the quests expected to grace a major fundraiser for the Personโs With Disability (PWDs) in Malava
The event is scheduled for September 12 at the Malava PWDโs empowerment centre that is situated near Malava Boys High School.
President William Rutoโs aide Farouk Kibet will be the chief quest where funds are to be raised towards individual member empowerment.
Inyangala, who hails from the area, has been present in all empowerment programs that have been held in the area, giving her contribution and showing love to the people of Malava.
Her continued presence in the area in times of need has earned her a place in the hearts of the electorate, and this has given her a lot of influence to show direction on matters of economic, social and even the direction the area takes politically.
Inyangala has a say in the coming by-election slated for November 27 to replace late MP Malulu Injendi who died early this year after a short illness.
So far she is the only visible government appointee whose word carries a lot of weight to the people as through her efforts, most families have had their loved ones get scholarships to pursue education within and outside the country.
Also, through her personal support, some children have been able to pursue their dream by paying school fees for needy but bright children from the area from her own pocket.
Her efforts at the higher education and research department have yielded fruits as university fees went down to as low as Kshs 5,000, and now parents can afford to pay fees for their children.
Malava constituency is strongly behind the reelection of President Ruto.
