A viral video has emerged in which an elderly man claims to be the biological father of Mumias East MP Peter Salasya.

In the video appeal, the elderly man, who bears a striking resemblance to the MP, revealed that he parted ways with Salasya’s mother when the lawmaker was just three months old. He is now seeking reconciliation and support from his estranged son.

“I’m Peter Salasya’s father. I broke up with his mother when he was three months old because she was difficult. She is a Luhya woman,” the man claimed. “Salasya should just look at my face; he is my son. I’m trying to find out where they went.”

Identifying himself as a former driver at a cotton farm in Nambale, the self-proclaimed father stated that he lost contact with Salasya and his mother after their separation. He accused the MP’s mother of being difficult, which led to their breakup.

“I used to work as a driver in a cotton farm in Nambale. I’m requesting Salasya to meet me now that he is grown. He should help me because I’m suffering,” he said. “I’m ready to do a DNA test to prove he is my son.”

Now, in his advanced years and facing financial difficulties, the man is appealing to the MP for recognition and assistance.

He went on to describe their past, noting that they had lived in Busia’s Marachi Estate, and mentioned the distinctive features he believed Salasya shares with him, such as his head shape.
