Elga Riaga replaced Josephine Atieno as CECM Sports, Gender and Social Services county government of Nakuru.

Riaga was among five senior officials sworn into office on Friday August 30, 2025 as Nakuru County Governor Susan Kihika moved to strengthen her administrationโ€™s capacity to deliver services.

Thoseย  sworn in include County Executive Committee Members Ambrose Ogeto (Public Service Management, Training and Devolution) and Elga Riaga (Sports, Gender and Social Services).

Chief Officers sworn in include Francis Njogu (Youth, Talent, Sports and Vocational Training), Joseph Kibusia (ICT, E-Government and Public Communication), and Dr. Victor Achoka (Resource Mobilization).

Speaking during the event, Deputy Governor David Kones said the swearing-in was a public declaration of responsibility and service, noting that the officials are expected to provide strong leadership in implementing Governor Kihikaโ€™s manifesto and the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP).

The officials pledged to serve with honesty and dedication.

The ceremony was attended by County Secretary Dr. Samuel Mwaura, County Attorney Caleb Nyamwange, other CEC Members, Chief Officers and Members of the County Assembly.
