The Kenya Professional Boxing Commission president Reuben Ndolo who a former Member of Parliament for Makadara Constituency has thrown his weight behind Michael Ouma Majua in the upcoming Kariobangi North MCA by-election.

Majua, a veteran sports administrator, who has been at the top leadership of Football Kenya Federation for over 20 years has thrown his hat in the contest for the Kariobangi North MCA seat in the by-elections set to be held on 27th November, 2025.

The veteran Boxing Commission president Ndolo said that Majua has a proven track record in the development of grassroots football and his contribution to sports in Nairobi is a testament that he is fit for the MCA seat noting that Majua will bring leadership experience from the grassroots to the county assembly.

โ€œI am happy with the news that my friend Michal Ouma Majua is vying for the vacant MCA seat in Kariobangi North. He is a man who i have known for many years and his passion and zeal for excellent leadership are unmatched,โ€ Ndolo said.

Ndolo noted that for over 20 years, he has seen Majua passionately work to lift the youth in sports and even during his stints as a past MCA, he did a commendable job in Kariobangi North ward calling on the electorate in the ward to vote for visionary change which Majua brings.

โ€œWe have been in sports administration with Majua for long and I have a lot of regard for him. He is a person who has the capacity to make things move, projects get implemented and he never gets tired of agitating for development for the people who have put him in office. We saw that with him at FKF and also when he was an MCA in the same ward and I urge all Kariobangi North ward electorate to rally behind Michael Ouma Majua and give him their suport to develop the area,โ€ Ndolo concluded.

Other leaders and renowned sports adminstrators have also thrown their weight behind Ouma. Anthony โ€˜Jamalโ€™ Ombok, the Kenya Boxing Federation president rallied Kariobangi north residents to elect Ouma noting that his passion in leadership has been well demonstrated in his deeds as a top official of football in Kenya.

Others include the Kenya Table Tennis Federation president Andrew Mudibo, Kenya Professional Boxing Commission secretary general Franklin โ€˜Kukaaโ€™ Imbenzi, East Africa Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Richard Ngatia and Nairobi City County assembly speaker Ken Ngโ€™ondi.

The president of the East Africa Chamber of Commerce Richard Ngatia noted that Ouma represents mature and experienced leadership which will be instrumental in the development agenda of Kariobangi North ward which is an industrial hub.

โ€œI have known Ouma for a long time and his intentions for Kariobangi north are very noble. The ward is an industrial estate and the business environment there needs a man who will be able to create a conducive environment for business to thrive. I urge the electorate in Kariobangi North to vote for Michael Ouma as their next MCA as we take the business space in Nairobi to higher heights,โ€ Ngatia said

Imbenzi noted that it is time for sportsmen to stand with fellow sportsmen at the political arena. โ€œOuma has been very instrumental in the development of football in Kenya and it is time we tap that energy into our leadership. A win for Ouma will be a win for the people of Kariobangi north and a win for sports in Nairobi, โ€ he said.
