The presidentโs personal aide Farouk Kibet has led senior politicians and government officials for a fundraiser towards the funeral expenses of the late former Bungoma High School principal Enock Andanje in Manda village of Malava subcounty.
Kibet rallied the village to support a government aligned candidate in the coming by-election slated for November 27 to replace late Malava member of Parliament Malulu Injendi who died early this year.
Kibet, who was accompanied by the higher education permanent secretary Dr Beatrice Inyangala and members of Parliament Innocent Mugabe of Likuyani and Fred Ikana of Shinyalu constituency and a host of members of county assembly led by Kakamega county minority leader David Ndakwa asked the locals to elect an individual who is focused on development issues than abuses.
He took the opportunity to announce that Manda secondary shall receive Kshs.2.5million towards the construction of a modern structure and expansion of the playground.
On her part,Inyangala hailed the government efforts in ensuring that government projects in the area are progressing well and that the upgrading ofย malava ti samitsi road to Bitumen standards starts.
Before his death,Andanje was a strong believer and crusader of the government agenda in the area.
He will be laid to rest on Thursday, the 28th, day of August 2025.
