Renowned gospel artist Dar Mjomba has opened up about the rough moments in his life.

He revealed how his rise to fame took a tragic turn after being wrongfully imprisoned.
In a recent interview on the Atomic TV YouTube channel, the artist shared how he was framed by his former manager, leading to his arrest and imprisonment.
The Moyo hitmaker recounted the challenges he has faced and the threats he continues to endure from the person he once trusted.

The gospel musician explained that his life changed drastically after a fallout with his former manager, who he claims framed him for stealing studio equipment worth KSh 150,000.

Mjomba revealed that the accusations arose from a personal disagreement with his former manager, who he claims was upset after his advances were rejected.
The artiste explained that the man had romantic feelings for him, which Mjomba did not reciprocate.
According to Mjomba, his ex-manager falsely accused him of stealing equipment, including cameras and tripods.

The case, which took place during the COVID-19 era, was not properly heard, with part of the proceedings being conducted virtually. Mjomba believes this injustice led to his wrongful imprisonment.
After his release, Mjomba struggled with mental and physical health issues, falling sick from the trauma.
He sought treatment at the Mathari National Teaching and Referral Hospital (MNTRH) in an attempt to regain his mental health.

Despite his recovery, the artiste confessed that the experience has made it difficult for him to trust people, especially his former manager, who continues to send him threats via text messages.
